Mini FPV Glider FireStar Pro in Aerobatics flight testing
This is the newest and totally awesome 4 Channel electric mini FPV gilder from Volantex RC / Lanyu Hobby. This plane already took my heart from its very first flight and got my serious attention to modify it to be a new superb FPV platform. From the very first moment I hand launched this plane; it simply amazed me with its superb and very stable flight performance. This mini FPV glider does not use any kind of built in stabilization system, its totally manual simple 4 channel plane, yet it’s amazingly so stable that it makes the pilot feel like there is a high tech stabilization system built in. In this video I removed the stickers (they were causing horrible drag during flight) tweaked the servo setup and added a new 12Amp ESC Flashed with SimonK firmware and used 7.4v 800mAh lipoly. Motor and servos still stock from lany.
Well then, it was a total different animal with this personal setup of mine and not only plane was still ultimate stable but was faster, and more responsive to controls and throttle.
Next step is to put an FPV system on and give it a flight to see how good this plane is for FPV purposes.
