It has built in battery and it can beep at 105db which is loud enough to hear. Do not worry about night. If its getting dark, on board light sensor will turn on a bright flashing LED on ViFly Finder 2. You can easily follow loud beeps and LED Flashing light even in dark to find your lost drone. ViFly Finder 2 can stay activated as long as 30 hours. This is a great little unit for all FPV Pilots to install on their racing drones and or FPV Aircraft and make life easier to find if they crash and lose the drone.
